What We Do

At Thinktank Legal Media
, we use the art of visual storytelling to help lawyers in advancing the interests of their clients and their causes

old tv

Visual storytelling can be used in a number of legal settings:

  • In the courtroom.

  • In informal adjudicatory settings such as arbitration or mediation.  In recent years, settlement documentaries have been replacing the traditional settlement brochure with a high rate of success.

  • In quasi-judicial settings such as clemency or pardon proceedings or zoning and other administrative hearings.

  • In situations where successful representation of a client may require appeals for public support, video documentaries can be used to stimulate the interest of organizations and mass media.

Video: the Next Wave

Today’s vernacular is a visual one.  From baby boomers to Gen Y television hits a responsive chord.  Whether you are speaking to the general public, a jury, or opposing attorney in mediation, it is a sure thing that you will be targeting  individuals fluent in the language of visual media.

The primacy of the documentary as a litigation tool is being acknowledged by law schools nationwide.  The University of Pennsylvania, New York Law School and others are now offering courses in documentary film as part of their law school curricula.
